As Chief Financial Officer, Chelsea Navarro assists in setting and running the strategic financial objectives of Imaginuity, as well as analyzing the company’s performance and propose shifts in operations or strategy. Partnering with the executive team to implement changes in operations and strategic direction to achieve goals, Chelsea builds predictive models and translates financial data into meaningful commentary, trends, and actions. “My goal is providing insightful data to ensure business decisions are being guided by facts, and for team members to be fully informed” remarks Chelsea. “I’m passionate about building camaraderie and creating a community of Imaginarians. I do this through engagement committee initiatives and mentoring team members.”

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting & CPA license, Chelsea worked for several years in public accounting as an auditor focused on private and public companies in the following industries: real estate, investments, financial services, and advertising. When asked what she enjoys about Imaginuity, in which she joined in 2018, Chelsea answers “The people. Imaginuity has a team atmosphere, and it feels like you are building something together. I also love working with talented people who have completely different skillsets than mine. I learn so much from my coworkers. I am always blown away by how a creative can transform my financial data/trends into beautiful clear graphics.”

When not surrounded by spreadsheets, charts and graphs, Chelsea escapes by seeing family and friends, going on walks with my husband and baby. She’s also an avid hockey fan, and attends every Dallas Stars games she can.

Career Advice…

“No one shows up to work thinking ‘man, I really hope I suck at my job today.’ This advice, while a bit crass, taught me to have patience in teaching and developing team members. Another favorite is ‘leadership is not about you; it’s a resource you provide to help others.’ This piece of advice was a game changer for me. A common misconception is that your team should adapt to your management style. I learned that in order to have my team members reach their full potential and feel supported I needed to adapt my managing style to best fit what each individual needed from me. My goal is always to support my team members and help them achieve their goals.
